an old family photo...

my b day, plus an update

Well, hotel life suits us well, and the most likely thing is that we'll be in a homey home home this week. Tomorrow we look at a lovely little high water bungalow with the typical two bedroom one bath layout. But this one'll have a fireplace and thats gotta be a keeper. Can you believe our farmers insurance has had us look at 4 places that should be suitable, but are'nt. I've gotten props from friends for sticking to my guns, and i will wait this out til the right house comes along. Sam is ready and i bet P is ready too. She is this all new creature and i keep guessing why shes so fussy and illcontent. She got weened this week, she lives out of various hotels, she even has to wear pull up diapers sometimes, because we have to run home to our old house for her size and thats an ordeal. The kids are'nt allowed in there. Not because of asbestos, but because of the ash and i guess the lead paint. An environmenal crew will come tomorrow to give us a bid on safely removing our old lead paint. Which was only on the trim, under the new paint from a year ago. UPDATE!!! Sammy just said mommy we need a new house. He does not even know what i've been writing about here, its just whats on everybodies mind. Hes seen all 4 denied houses and hopefully i can stop saying, "we're going to go see see our new house, MAYBE". These kids are troopers though. And i feel the love from all my friends and family. Plus, yesterday i feel like the word that was shared at cccp (CAPITAL CITY CHURCH INT.) was especially pertinent to me and my sitch.
Here i'll end. I think i've lost my train of thought, but i'm all good and the kids ill be fine, and scott is my superhuman husband who thinks of and does it all. Blessings all.

our house burnt up... a little

Well, that title says it, but there are many details. Two nights ago we smelled whst we thought was something baking or possibly incense burning. Turns out thats what insulation smoldering in your attic smells like. It did catch fire to a couple of joists, and so there was finally a wood burning scent that got us evacuated and calling the fire dept. We've been hotel bound sinve, and this could be for the long haul, but we just don't know how long. Do call us for details and we'll go into it. Love you all.
